From this beautifully located hotel, you look out over the Turrialba Valley, surrounded by forests and mountains, with the Turrialba volcano in the background. The sincere hospitality and helpfullness will give you the feeling that you’re visiting friends. The cosy and comfortable rooms each have their own personal style and a spectaculair view.

The exceptional and delicious kitchen of the hotel is a combination of Italian and European dishes, prepared with local ingredients.

The hotel has a large terras where you can enjoy a wonderful, fresh prepared breakfast. Each morning, the local baker brings fresh bread, and there are freshly made juices for you to enjoy, as well as home-made jams (of differents fruits of the region) and of course, Turrialba cheese.
If desired, it is possible to have dinner in the hotel. All dishes are made from fresh products from the region and often vegetables from our own garden are used.

Location
The hotel is located in the small town Santa Cruz. By car, it is a half hour drive from Turrialba and 2 hours from San José.

Activities
Guayabo Lodge is the perfect place for people looking for nature and adventure. Thanks to the good location, there is easy access to all kinds of activities, like rafting on the world famous Pacuare River, or canyoning.
You can also visit the National Park Guayabo Monument or the botanical gardens of the CATIE Institute.
Of course, the surroundings are very nice to see by horse back or by walking, or taking a tour to the Turrialba volcano. We can always help you organize a tour.

Rates
These rates are valid from January 1 until December 31 2007.

• $60 for a single room
• $80 for a double room
• $90 for a triple room

Rates are including breakfast; excluding taxes (16,39%).
Children under 12 year stay for free on their parents’room. With more than 2 children, there is an additional fee of $10 per child.

We offer a 10% discount to people who find us through this website or through the other Holland Hotels.

• The hotel also organizes kooking trips and on rainy days it is possible to participate in a cooking course (reservations one day ahead).
