In the north you will find two of the volcanoes most visited in Costa Rica! Rincón de la Vieja and Arenal Volcano. Hier you can take lovely walks or go horseback riding. A day on the beach or hovering through the trees in a little harness? That is also possible. And a visit to Monteverde cloud forest is well worth a visit.

Day 1 - Dos Palmas Airport in Alajuela
After arriving at Juan Santamaría International Airport in Alajuela, close to the capital city San José, Peter or Flor from hotel Dos Palmas will pick you up. From there it is a 5 min. drive, after which you can relax and acclimatize to the tropical Costa Rica.

Day 2 / 4 - Fidelito Holiday Ranch on the Peninsula of Nicoya
After the arrival of your rental car you leave for the Peninsula of Nicoya. Here you can relax on the beach and enjoy the sun for a few days, and of course you can make a choice of daytrips, among others to a desert island.
> Fidelito Holiday Ranch is situated on 2,5 kms of the 7 kms long sandy beach of Playa Tambor, in the Ballena whale bay. It is built in hacienda style, and surrounded by woody hills, an excursion on the 60 ha Ranch is included. Within 20 minutes you are in the private wildlife park of Curu with the famous island of Tortuga to go snorkling or kayaking.

Day 5 / 7 - Aroma de Campo in Curubandé
In the extreme north you will find Aroma de Campo where you will stay in a colourful room. Rincón de la Vieja Volcano is within reach. You can make several hikes, passing waterfalls, fuming mudpools and sulphur damps. The most spectacular hike goes to the crater and this one will take you seven hours. On your way you will see various kinds of trees and orchids, and perhaps monkeys?

Day 8 / 10 - Monte Terras in Tronadora
Still in the province of Guanacaste you will stay in a cheerful cabina at Monte Terras. From here you can see Arenal Volcano. In the evening there is a chance to see the lava rolling down. Another possibility is a visit to Monteverde cloud forest. There you can walk across hanging bridges or hover from tree to tree in a harness.

Day 11 / 13 - Beach Hotel Celaje in Cabuya
On the southernmost tip of the Nicoya Peninsula you will find Beach Hotel Celaje. Here you can enjoy the  sun and the beach for a few days, and of course you can make several trips, e.g. to an uninhabited island. Beach Hotel Celaje is situated directly on the beach with a fantastic view to the ocean. You will sleep in a comfortable bungalow.

Day 14 - Dos Palmas Airport in Alajuela
The last day you will be at Dos Palmas again. Enjoy the porch once more and reflect your holiday. Don’t forget to hand in the rental car in time.

Departure from San José, you will be taken to the airport.

It goes without saying that from each hotel various daytrips are possible. Here we made a selection from them. Prices are based on 2 persons. Do you travel with more persons, do you want to stay shorter or longer in some of the hotels, or shorten or lengthen your trip? That is possible. Prices Round Trip

Prices are per person, based on a double room, including breakfast and 16.39% tax.
In the week before Easter and in the week between Christmas and New Year there may be other rates. We will send them to you on request.

Prices for 13 days car rental, including TOP insurances. The cost of car rental will be paid to the rental company by yourself with a een creditcard.
